These two gantries at Cape Canaveral Pad 17 saw hundreds of rockets launch their payloads into space, including the GPS satellites we use every day. Pad 17A on the left, and 17B on the right were constructed on the mid 1960's, and served as primary launch sites for USAF until 2009 for Pad A and 2011 for Pad B. They sit in cold storage, awaiting their fate, likely demolition in the coming year.
