Artist's Description

Barnett's Mill (Sometimes called Jones Mill, Silver Creek Mill) is on Silver Creek in Lindale, Georgia. It is in an industrial section of town, and has been somewhat restored by the Lindale Garden Club, and is used as a meeting place for town organizations. It was built in the early 1830's by slave labor, and the original owner was Larkin Barnett. It was damaged by Northern troops during the Civil War, but was rebuilt by the then current owner Jacob Jones.
